Set in private gardens, the Irene Palace Hotel is a white resort hotel, located just 70 metres from the beach and 28 kilometres from Rhodes. This four floor hotel features 247 air conditioned guestrooms, all of which are furnished in Greek island style with light decor and wood features. All include balconies with garden or sea views, satellite television and refrigerators. Bathrooms have baths, makeup mirrors, hairdryers and complimentary toiletries.
After a continental buffet breakfast on the terrace, guests can relax beside the pool or stroll on the nearby beach. Children have their own pool and playground and the hotel has a mini club for four to 12 year olds, and a teenagers' club during the months of July and August. Guests can visit the mini zoo, relax in the sauna and spa bath, and enjoy the weekly entertainment programme, celebrating local customs and traditions. Multilingual staff on the 24 hour front desk can give tour advice and assist with currency exchange, room service requests and store valuables in the hotel safe. The hotel offers a wide range of sporting activities, including volleyball, basketball, football or tennis. Drinks and cocktails are served in Aquarium Bar, accompanied by live piano music, and the Sunrise Restaurant offers a variety of traditional Greek and international cuisine, with buffet dishes and an � la carte menu. Should guests wish to explore beyond the resort, the Afandou Golf Course is six kilometres away and the Water Park is 15 kilometres from the hotel. Rhodes Diagoras International Airport is 28 kilometres away and takes around 20 minutes by car.

Regular buses run from the airport to Rhodes city centre and taxis are available outside the terminal. Kolymbia is best explored on foot. A hire car is recommended for travelling further afield.
