Hotel Features. "Tomo" translates as "friend" in English, which befits the lobby that is decorated with famed Japanese muralist Heisuke Kitazawa's welcoming pop culture characters. A bank of televisions broadcasts the Godzilla movie and pop culture animation specials. A bright aqua "floating couch" topped with a huge yellow pillow offers lobby seating. The casual Mum's Restaurant and Bar specializes in shabu shabu, a thinly sliced meat and vegetable dish cooked tableside and served with dipping sauces. The menu also features American and Japanese breakfast, lunch and dinner fare. A business center offers two computer stations. Wireless Internet access is complimentary throughout the hotel. Function space accommodates up to 80 people. Recreational amenities include a complimentary 24 hour fitness center that contains cardiovascular and weight training equipment, plus free weights.
Guestrooms. This eight story hotel offers 125 guestrooms that feature Heisuke Kitazaw designed pop art murals. Platform beds are dressed with 200 thread count Egyptian sheets. D�cor includes pine paneled walls and fatboy beanbag style chairs. Room amenities feature MP3 docking stations and flat panel televisions. Accommodations include refrigerators and coffeemakers.
